GIVING VOICE

| THE LAKOTA BOOK PROJECT

Based upon the success of similar social justice photo based projects in 'giving voice' like his illustrated Streets of Afghanistan book, concerned photographer Tony Di Zinno proposed a photo workshop to initiate a small select group of  Lakota Young Bloods to participate in documenting the week of the Unity Concert. The collaboration between this Art Center College of Design professor and these young Native American story tellers will be to create a permanent record by way of self-publishing a coffee table book - as seen through their own eyes - the historic gathering of solidarity, spirit and soul soaring music.
