NATAANI MEANS

Nataanii Means is Oglala Lakota, Omaha, and Dine'. Raised in Chinle, Arizona on the Navajo Nation Reservation where he grew up and graduated high school in 2009, and went to Santa Fe, New Mexico to pursue a degree in Filmmaking at the Institute of American Indian Arts. There he found the inspiration to work on hip hop which lead to him releasing an Album called "2 Worlds" in October 2013, which has gained many accolades within the year. In the album he depicts modern struggles within the younger indigenous generations with living on the reservation, and living off, touching on subjects such as; Identity, Alcohol, Meth, abuse, traditional ways of life, and modern day genocide.
